In April 2023, founder Delan Devakumar joined the World Health Summit Regional Meeting to speak about research about racism and inequitable health outcomes. He discusses the Lancet Series, current evidence that demonstrates health inequities along racial lines, conceptual ways to explore these issues, and next steps to tackling them. In his presentation, he traces racially defined health inequities, and explains them in the context of racial hierarchies, colonialism, and contemporary forms of structural violence that shape these inequities.
